Bio
I came to the United States from Canada to complete a post doctoral residency in periodontics. My experience as a dental surgeon has given me a good grasp of spacial interpretation and line and it honed a keen sense of observation. After 20 years as a docent in Art Goes to School, I began creating art of my own. My favorite medium is oil and cold wax. It allows the building of layers and gives the paint beautiful transparency and texture. My work is in the permanent collection of the Museum of Encaustic Art in Santa Fe, NM and in private collections in the US, Canada and Europe. I was chosen to represent Pennsylvania in the 50 States/200 Artists show at MoEA in Santa Fe. My work has appeared in local, national and international juried shows. I am proud to participate in the Notre Dame Fine Art Show for the 4th year.
