Ellie Moniz is a local watercolor artist who specializes in house portraits and whimsical, yet realistic paintings of cityscapes, figures, and still life images. For as long as she can remember, Ellie has been drawing and painting the world around her, often finding inspiration and beauty in ordinary buildings that may otherwise be overlooked. When Ellie took her first and only watercolor class in college, she was immediately drawn to the medium finding it’s layered transparency calming and inviting. Over the past twenty years, Ellie has continued to experiment with new techniques and explore a wide range of subjects.
