Wheel thrown vessel, burnished with terra sigillata, tape resist applied, two-step naked raku slip and glaze applied to bisqued pot, raku fired, reduced, waxed and buffed. The carbon markings on each naked raku piece are unique to that particular vessel. This exquisite piece has deep black carbon markings. The finish has been hand-waxed and buffed to a soft sheen.

<p>I am a full-time Studio Potter living, working and teaching in Downingtown, PA, and I am elbow deep in love with all things clay! My passion is to create functional and decorative pots that will make your everyday moments beautiful. During the COVID pandemic, I have been experimenting with colored clay, ceramic art beads and jewelry making. Join me for a workshop in my home studio when the pandemic is over!
