Bio
Beatriz Ehringer was born and raised in Bogota, Colombia, South America, and came to the United States to attend St. Mary's Dominican College in New Orleans where she first developed a serious interest in art. She has continued as a perpetual student of art through painting, and mastering new techniques with completion of extensive college courses, workshops and training through classes with renowned instructors.

Her passionate devotion to painting soon translated into recognition for her work. In addition to various honors and awards from local events, such as first place in an Ormond Beach art show, a piece from her water color collection was selected and purchased by the Museum of Arts and Sciences in Daytona Beach for its permanent collection. Beatriz's paintings have been exhibited at the Halifax Art Festival, the Winter Park Art Festival, the Art League of Daytona Beach, and the Atlantic Center for the Arts in New Smyrna Beach, Florida. She was selected for a solo show at the University Club of Winter Park, and in 2011 also enjoyed an extended solo exhibit at the Ormond Memorial Art Museum. She successfully applied and was accepted into the local Beaux Art society. Her works have also been purchased for display in a number of distinguished homes, including the France’s (NASCAR) art collection. The rich and vibrant hues, and superb shading and detail found in her exquisite oils are a true pleasure to view.

Beatriz has previously served as a member of the Ormond Memorial Art Museum Board of Directors. She remains active with the Daytona Beach Art League and the Beaux Art of Volusia County, and it very pleased to have the opportunity to share a sample of her work with the Academy of Notre Dame community and patrons.
