This painting is inspired by one of Gustav Klimt’s (1862-1918) landscape paintings Roses Under Trees (1905).
Klimt's landscape paintings reflect his flattened compositions and soft brush technique with mosaic like pattern showcase his impressionist style with a modernist feel. In his landscapes, the background appear very shallow and everything else appears right in front of the viewer. For instance, the path in his painting 'Roses Under Trees' gives a hint of background, but the flowers seem to push all the way forward. The soothing colors and the intricate brush strokes inspired me to paint Klimt- like 'Roses Under Trees', which I named it 'Summer In The Countryside'.
