Bio
Artist Pearl (Norman) Bayne, originally from Hungary, lives in Milford, CT with her husband and their pug named Peanut. She is a graduate of Parsons The New School of Design in NYC. In addition to Parsons, she studied with Burton Silverman, regarded as one of America’s foremost realist painters in New York City, and later at the School of Visual Arts.

Inspiration for her paintings come from her love for animals, nature, living by the water and many travels. They also influence her various styles of art. The central style of her body of paintings is impressionism. She merges different mediums and textures with a strong focus on color to engage the viewer subconsciously with the subjects of her works.

Pearl’s concept was chosen for the cover of the April 24, 2000
“Best Of New York” issue for THE NEW YORK magazine. In NYC, she expanded her artistic talents in the creative department for Viacom and when living in southeast Florida, Pearl worked in the Design Studio for The Breakers in Palm Beach.

Pearl’s paintings were in galleries in Westport and Greenwich CT and Boca Raton, Florida. Her works were shown in Soho in NYC, New Haven, CT, West Palm Beach, Delray Beach and Boca Raton, Florida, Atlanta, Georgia and also engages in charity events.
